service for customers''urgent cargoes. Multimodal load planning
for carriers is to determine cargo routes and an integrated air
and ground vehicle fleet to minimize the total operating cost
and maximize the total profit. In this research, we formulate
the multimodal load planning problem as an integer problem. We
develop an enumeration approach embedded with a constrained
minimum spanning tree algorithm to solve the problem. We also
develop an enumeration approach embedded with a branch and bound
algorithm. The research ends with a numerical example. The
testing and evaluation of our algorithms is conducted on the
network of the largest time definite cargo carrier in Taiwan.
