increasingmarket competitive ability, the newly ship design and
automatically manufacturingproceeded orderly for shipbuilding
industry in the recent years. However the plane steel material
usually used as the material of components of the ship''s hull.
In order to reduce stuff cost, these components are cut in
compact and orderly. Thus, for optimum arrangement system
developing, a Monte Carlo methodand a Visual Basic language for
personal computer windows operation system areused to search the
optimum arrangement and calculate the area efficiency in
thispaper. When the optimum arrangement figures obtained, the
cutting path is set to develope numerical code for numerical
control machine required. Finally,componentsof the ship''s hull
are cut automatically by the numerical control cutting machine.
The post processor of this system could be changed for different
type cutting machine as torch cutting, laser cutting and plasma
cutting and the requirement of each and every shipyard. This
software system could also offer appropriatelyfor shipbuilding
factory and push the automatically manufacture conducting while
the research task is completion.
