碩士 / 國立中央大學 / 土木工程學系 / 85 / The flow distribution in multiport diffusers is explored in
this studyby employing analytical, numerical and experimental
methods. Twodimensionless parameters controlling the flow
distribution, i.e., portmomentum parameter and friction
parameter , are evaluated. When thefriction parameter is
negligible , the port discharge increases downstreamlyand
becomes more unevenly as the value of port momentum parameter
increases. On the other hand, the port discharge decreases
downstreamly as the momentumparameter is negligible. For the
concern of the uniformity of flowdistribution, these two
parameters should be controlled within a suitablerange. The
numerical solutions agree well with previous experimental data(
Sherman, 1949) and present data. The effect of port contraction
on flowdistribution is important at small discharges because the
flow distributionis more uniform at large discharges than those
at small discharges.
