The Simulation of High-Frequency Shallow-Water Reverberation / 淺海高頻迴響之計算與模擬

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 機械工程研究所 / 85 / When an active sonar is operated in a shallow water, the primary limitation on the system performance is the reverberation that originates from volume and boundaries sctering and the multi-path propagation. In this thesis, two models are established to simulate the surface and bottom high-fiequency reverberation.time-series signal. One is based on the image source propagation theory, the other is based on the normal-mode theory. The isospeed sound speed profile and monostatic case are asssumed in the simulation. The isospeed sound speed profile and monostatic case are assumed in the simulation. The limitation of the two models are discussed; in addition, the choose of the important parameters and the programmability of the two models are also studied in this thesis. The effect of the 40kHz source array steering is also discussed. The result indicates that the normal-mode model is applicable to the calculation of long-range reverberation; however, the frequency is limited to below 1kHz. The image source model is applicable to the computation of high frequency and short-range reverberation.
