Preliminary Study on Feasibility of Reducing High Speed Craft Slamming by Hull Opening / 利用船底開孔以減少高速艇波擊可行性之初步研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 造船工程學系 / 85 / The effect on the slamming of hole opening at the bottom of
planning boat was investigated in this study. The drop tests of
two dimensional wedge of deadrise angle 10 degrees, with and
without hole opening, were conducted firstly to compare the
pressure distribution on the wedge surface. The impact pressure
formulation of Wagner was applied to compute the dynamic lift of
planning boat. And the strip theory with the Wagner impact
pressure formulation were used to compute the hole opening
effect on the slamming of planning boat. The hole opening could
reduce the local high pressure on the wedge surface shown from
the drop test of wedge. But it only reduced 5% acceleration of a
planning boat when slamming as shown from the calculated
results.
