碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 水利及海洋工程學系 / 86 / The mild-slope equation with an elliptic type was solved by a
finite elementmethod to simulate wave refection, diffraction,
reflection, shoaling, breakingand energy dissipation for
coastal engineering practice. The radiation boundary
condition is expanded to the third-order approximation for
improving the limitation of large wave angle incidence. Wave
breaking and energy lossesdue to the influence are
accounted for in the mild-slope equation in arelatively
straight forward manner. Tests of the wave height pattern around
anelliptic and a circular shoal and a circular cylinder show
that the presentmodel provides a significant improvement on the
radiation boundary conditionsfor large incident wave angles.
The validity of the present model is verifiedthrough experiment
data.
