The Effect of Dietary Lysine on the Growth and Immunocompetence of the Tiger Shrimp Penaeus monodon / 餌料離胺酸含量對草蝦的成長和其免疫能力的影響

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 海洋生物研究所 / 86 / The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of dietary lysine, an essential amino acid, on the growth and the immunocompetence of P. monodon. Groups of shrimp were fed a serious of semi-purified diets containing increasing levels of lysine ( 4.6, 5.1, 5.7, 6.3, 7.1 and 7.7 g/100 g protein, designated as diet L4.6, L5.1, L5.7, L6.3, L7.1 and L7.7, respectively ) for 8 weeks. The results of the growth trail indicate the final body weight of shrimp, feed conrsion ratio, survival rate, hepatosomatic index were not significantly different among dietary lysine treatments ( P > 0.05 ) . The L7.1 group had a better protein efficiency ratio than these of L5.1, L5.7 or L6.3 ( P < 0.05 ) .The proximate analysis of muscle did not show significant difference among dietary treatments ( P > 0.05 ) . The L4.6 group had a highest level of free lysine in hemolymph, conversely, L7.7 group had the lowest level.Hemolymph free lysine decreased with increased dietary lysine level. Free lysine in hepatopancreas and muscle, and total lysine in muscle, were not significantly different among treatments ( P > 0.05 ) .
Hemolymph cell density, percentage cell attachment, and the production of intracellular superoxide anion were not significantly different among treatments ( P > 0.05 ) . Phagocytic index analysis indicated that the L4.6 group had a higher PI value then L5.7, L6.3, L7.1 or L7.7 groups ( P < 0.05 ) .L4.6 group had a highest average number of beads ingested per cell than the L7.7 group. Like the responses observed in hemolymph free lysine concentration, PI values decreased with increased dietary lysine levels. The insignificant results among treatments lead to a postulation that the lysine requirement value for the species is below 4.6 g/100 g protein, the lowest level studied in the present study.-1 -aThe Effect of Dietary Lysine on the Growth and Immunocompetence of the Tiger Shrimp Penaeus monodon
