The flux of total nitrogen / solid and the solid physical properties in a multi-layer intensive Abalones culture ponde / 集約立體式九孔養殖池之總氮與固形物收支及物性特徵

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 農業工程學系 / 86 / Due to the limitation of geological resources and hatchery
space in Taiwan, and the promotion of saltwater hatcheries, the
intensive high aquaculture system is thus highly practiced.
The negative effects such as water pollution, suspended solids
from fish feed, and the organic waste polluting the water
source all contribute to the decrease of survival ratio to
marine life. The efficiency of feeding is as low as 1/28 and
this flowing water culture system is causing second pollution
to the sea.
This paper is mainly focused on the budgeting of water, total
nitrogen(TN), suspended solid(SS) and the physical properties
in an Abalone pond, and the result will be used as a basis to
designing an effective aquaculture system. In an Abalone pond,
the soluble nitride contains approximately 70-80% and the solid
nitride does approximately 20-30%, an effort to the soluble
nitride removal is the main focus of the Abalone Pond.
As the water in the pond is exchanged 23 times a day, the
resulting SS from flowin reaches around 95% of the increase
flux, SS flowout reach around 95% of the decrease flux. The
result prove that a water recycling system can highly reduce
second pollution to the sea. The size frequency distribution
of SS range from particle size under 40μm and between 400 μm
to 500μm, and their percentage are 50% and 30%. The frequency
of the particle density under 1.25 is approximately 60%.
It should be organic suspended solid such as facees and
residue. The amount of TN every 100g suspended solid is 445.7
in summer and 646.5 in winter. Those are 2 or 3 times than
that of Gracilaria which contains 200 . It means the TN of
suspended is high. A setting basin with an inclined is
recommended to maximize the consumption of the feed. Abalone
farmers should set up the aqua-recycling system outside of
Gracilaria Pond in order to fully acquire the benefit of TN
count in the water.
