waste disposal in Taiwan. However, it cause problems about
leachate and odor. Scholars found that, the semiaerobic landfill
can not only accelerate the decomposition of solid waste, but
can decrease leachate''s concentration. And the leachate
recirculation can accelerate the speed of landfill stabilization
too. Therefore, we suggest that use semiaerobic landfill
combining with leachate recirculation to improve the efficiency
of MSW decompositionOur research set two 10×10×3 m simulated
areas outdoor. Use MSW to experiment the different between
semiaerobic and anaerobic landfill. Through our experiments, we
got some results: If the water content of landfill was between
capacity field and saturation, the outflow coefficient was about
0.6. When the water content reaches saturation, the outflow
coefficient was about 0.2. After recirculated, the coefficient
reduced to about 0.1. The highest BOD and COD concentration of
