The choice of the diesel engine of ships depends on the mission types and functions. In this research, the small or middle size and high-speed vessels which have been well designed are the main studied subject. The Integrated Logistics Support and the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) method of management are used to make the decisions to take the most efficiency items from the history of the ship diesel engine development.
The following three items are the main points to create the model which are the standards of choice of ship diesel engine.
(1) In the choice process, the conditions of future maintenance and the resources of support must be considered to get the better economic result.
(2) The decision process is made with a scientific and objective way by the AHP method.
(3) To create the suitable subjects of decisions for next generation of the Navy is necessary.
