碩士 / 長榮管理學院 / 經營管理研究所 / 87 / In the wake of persevering endeavor of the shipping entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Strait in the few years, Offshore Shipping and Transportation Center eventually starts operating from April 1997,which marks a new beginning of bilateral trade relationship.
However, on account of the limited market which entails consequently limited trade volumes in the beginning period, and the relevant systems and plans have not been completed; therefor the proper analysis and prediction would be the main work of evaluation and future development.
This research is focused on such level of development. Methodologically, it is aimed to use Gray Theory which Gray Relational Analysis and Gray Prediction to choose related social economic variable and construction Transportation Demand Prediction model for figuring out development trend of this center; In the mean time, working through the ways of questionnaire method and interviews could observe the reaction to the prediction consequence from shipping companies and official and would also collect the complete information, preview and arrange the relevant shipping businesses and future development from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. And the goal of this research is to bring fruitful results and concrete suggestions to entrepreneurs, on the other hand, for evaluating potential market of shipping business between two sides in the future.
