Effect of Storage temperature GA3 and Ethylene on the growth of tuber of Zantedeschia hybrida / 貯藏溫度GA3及乙烯對彩色海芋種球生育之影響

碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 園藝學系 / 87 / Five storage temperature (5℃、10℃、15℃、20℃、25℃) were conducted for effects on the emergence of Zantedeschia hybrida Hort. tubers in greenhouse. The results indicated that germination of tubers declined along with decreasing storage temperatures. The optimun storage temperature for the sprouting of tubers was 25℃, Nevertheless tubers stored at 5℃ and 10℃ for 26 weeks were no emergence .
Tubers were stored at above-menthioned five temperatures for 3、6、9 and 26 weeks, respectively. The emergence of tubers were recorded after planting. The data presented the contribution of temperature and treatment duration that higher temperature and longer storage would shorten the emergence time. However, the emergence of tubers was prolonged with increasing storage time at 5℃ storage temperature. For example, the emergence of tubers stored at 20℃-25℃ for 12-26 weeks was 100 % after planting 1 weeks, while tubers stored at 10℃-15℃ for 12-26 weeks had taken 3-4 weeks for reaching the maximum emergence (100 %). In addtion, tubers which stored at 5℃ for 3 weeks started to emergence after planting 2 weeks and reached the maximun emergence at 3 weeks ,but that at 26 weeks showed chilling injury.
Tubers immersed with 100 ppm GA3 for 10 min before planting shortened the emergence time ,but GA3 had no effect on the emergence of tubers at high storage temperature for long term storage. The propotion of flowering of tubers stored at 20℃ for 12 weeks was 44 %, whereas that of tubers treated with 100 ppm GA3, stored at 15℃ ,was 100 % but resulted in 23.5 % malformed flowers. The propotion of flowering of tubers treated with GA3 after storing at 25℃ for 24 weeks was greater than that of other treatment.
The effect of 395 ppm Ethrel treatment, on flowering of tubers was the best, 54 %. Ethylene increased the emergence of tubers with increasing the concentrations. The emergence on ethylene-pretreated tubers stored at 25℃ for 3weeks was enhanced, whereas that stored at 10℃ was no difference.
