碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 水利及海洋工程學系 / 87 / The developments of the river delta under wave action were studied through a series of experiments in the present study. Firstly, to design experimental conditions, we consider that bed-load coexistent with suspend-load. Secondly ,to consider wave action but to eliminate the condition of headwater .On phenomenon , Firstly, we used the delta film、longitudinal and transverse profile that changed with time to discuss the developments of the delta under wave action. Then the width (B), deposit depth( ) were used as characteristic value to analyze the geometric similarity of the transverse profile of the delta. The result of analysis showed that the configuration of the delta could be describe by Hyperbolic function in the transversal section. But the geometric similarity only applied during first ninety seconds .The geometric characteristic of storm profile concerned with wave steepness and the particle of beach.
