A Study and Comparation of Wireless Communication Techniques for an Intergrated Vehicle Navigation System / 自動導航控制中無線網路通訊技術之比較研究

碩士 / 國防管理學院 / 資源管理研究所 / 87 / Traditionally, most of vehicle navigation systems only statically consider the shortest path for each source destination pair rather than the traffic flow. On the other word, it will still result in congestion in all drivers'' use the same system in point to a same destination. For the sake of solving the above problem, we add the dynamic real time situation to navigation system. However, the dynamic real time situation must be sent by means of a wireless communication system and calculated by a navigation system for the best path.
Firstly, the thesis aims at programming communication software and establishing different data files for testing transmission time in performance to cellular phone, frame-relay and full duplex wireless communication systems. And then compare their usability, programming feasibility and system architecture function.s At last we integrated these techniques into the best communication environment for the navigation system of real time traffic situation.
Additionally, we develop a prototype system in which it can access real time traffic data and position data from a satellite system and communicate between them to display the car position in map. It can not only provides drivers to understand the traffic jam situation but also choices the best-driving path in shortest time by using computing a designed Dijkstra''s algorithm. Once such a system is built, its benefits are not only to offer dynamic traffic flow and guide drivers the best path but also provide convenience and security services.
