Engineering Risk Analysis of Marine Cage Net Aquaculture / 海上箱網養殖工程風險分析

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 海洋環境及工程學系 / 87 / Due to the running out of fishery resource of near ocean and the coastal zone sinking problems caused by manual fishery, marine cage net aquaculture becomes a new direction of the future development of Taiwanese fishery industry.Unfortunately, each year both typhoons and a long period winter monsoon season cause the integrity of cage net structures under severe weather examining. Most fishermen strongly concern the safety of marine aquaculture. Thus the risk analysis becomes a very important issue.
This study includes two major parts: (1) To evaluate the risk of mooring system — to do so we have to find two probability distributions. One is the mooring line stress response probability distribution under each typhoon attacking and the other is the probability distribution of mooring line material strength that can be obtained by manufacturing data. With these two distributions we could evaluate the risk of mooring system by calculating the interlacing area of the two curves. (2) To evaluate the risk of cage net volume-to do so we have to find the minimum cage volume rate in the whole process, and to evaluate the maximum density of breeding fish (Greater amberjack) under secure condition. Then, we could calculate the excess amount of breeding fish that may lead to final mortality.This percentage of mortality is the risk of cage fish or the probability risk of cage volume.
The calculation results indicate that the risk of mooring system is rather low (0.149%), but owing to the serious transformation of the cage net volume, the average mortality is pretty high (56%). It is urgent problem that the marine aquaculture industry should overcome. Finally, this thesis offers some suggestive solutions for the problem, and wishes this information could be a useful reference for the firms and fishermen.
