Study of Heat Transfer Measurement on Cooling Fin of Internal Combustion Engine by Liquid Crystal Thermography / 液晶熱像法量測引擎散熱鰭片之熱傳係數研究

碩士 / 國立清華大學 / 動力機械工程學系 / 87 / For the improvement of industry of motor in Taiwan, it is more essential to study this problem of motor engine. Accordingly, one adopts the cooling fins to analysis method is used to measure the temperature of fin''s besides, calculate the local heat transfer distribution, and average heat transfer rate. One expect the view point of heat transfer to investigate the combustion process, then improve the geometric scale of fin to make the uniform temperature of fin. In the present study, one uses the liquid crystal thermography and single blow transient test to measure the temperature distribution of fin. Substantially, one adopts the numerical analysis to determine the temperature of fin, therefore, the local and overall heat transfer can be obtained. The results display the heat transfer of fin is varied by the flow behavior, the design of flow passage, and the geometry of fin. The heat transfer coefficient is direct proportional to velocity of flow, and the overall heat transfer is used to design the cooling fin. For the experimental data, one can obtain the technique and theory of liquid crystal thermography, in addition, the high resolution of experimental technique is used to analysis the heat transfer distribution of engine.
