碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 電機工程學系 / 87 / The multipath interference is a major problem in underwater acoustic data transmission. The energy of radio wave decays rapidly with theincreasing of frequency. Thus, the acoustic wave is an appropriate mediumfor underwater data transmission.
In this thesis, the implementation of π/4 DQPSK modulation techniques for underwater acoustic (UWA) telemetry modem is investigated. In order to reduce the UWA channel effects, the direct sequence spread spectrum technique is also considered. The TI TMS320C31 DSP chip sets, A/D converter, D/A converter,
modulator, and demodulator are used to build up a fundamental hardware architecture for BPSK and QPSK transmission systems. The TI TMS320C3X assembly language program is used for software
design. The ASCII data transmission experiments between two personal computers via UWA acoustic channels are conducted
in the laboatory.
