Global Structural Analysis of A Catamaran / 雙體船的整體結構分析

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 造船及海洋工程學研究所 / 88 / Abstract
The loading acting on a vessel moving on the sea is not only weight and buoyancy of vessel, but also the impact loading due to encounter waves. In this paper, two kinds of wave loading on ship are examined, the first one is the approximate approach proposed by DNV(1996), another one is the hydrodynamic loading calculated by HSC3D, which is a 3-D boundary element code based on three-dimensional translating pulsating source distribution technique.
The hydrodynamic loading for ship motion by BEM method and the structural analysis by FEM method has been integrated in the Microsoft Windows-9X/NT environment, the hydrodynamic loading are calculated by BEM-Code HSC3D, and the structural analysis calculated by ANSYS code, and an interface program to transfer wave pressure to nodal force is coded with Visual Basic.
In this paper, a series of globe structural analysis by FEM were carried out for a wave piercing catamaran. The results of loading and stress from DNV design guide and direct calculation by HSC3D and ANSYS are compared. The loading and the stress calculated due to split force by DNV design guide are much higher than direct calculation, the other components for both approaches are in the same level.
