碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 水土保持學系 / 89 / Based on “The Properties with Different Intervals of Artificial Sand Dunes on Fishway”, proposed by Ya-Ho Wang , setting up artificial dunes in the fishway in helps to increase the deeper and the velocity in the fishway ,it didn’t increase the water level as predicted earlier by setting opening sand dunes. However , the opening sand dunes didn’t work as wall as no opening dunes in terms of stabilizing the flow and eliminating the silt. Therefore , it’s better to set up artificial sand dunes with the opening dunes in fishway. On the other hand , the stream passing through the artificial sand dune is dispersed to cause the deep in not enough which results from the broad interval of opening sand dunes.
The study probes into the interval of opening sand dunes In the experiment of artificial sand dunes , we take three types of channel discharges , four different of grades and twelve kinds of interval into debate on the interaction between velocity and depth and Manning’s roughness n . Beyond that , the experiment forward to add sand in terms of maximum gradient, minimum discharge and interval of sand dunes.
According to the analysis of experiment , the average water level could reach up above 300% by setting up artificial sand dunes . Likewise, the velocity could be slowed down to the range between 75% and 85% .While the interval is 0.72m , the stream did not disperse . As for the part of adding more sand , whatever the grades is , there is always a silt up . But the silt blocked on the two sides of opening. Therefore , it won’t cause jam in fishway.
We might discover from the experiment that the flow in fishway improve noticeably in an ideal interval and the silt in not serious. On the other hand, the aforementioned would be of help in the inner design of fishway.
