碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 都市計劃學系 / 89 / From the viewpoint of sustainable city in the global trend, transit-oriented development (T.O.D.) is considered looking after economics, sociality and transportation and to be the important concept of planning and designing. It is also practiced in the work of new growth area development and urban redevelopment. The emphasis of transit-oriented development is in the station area. The purpose of this article is to discuss the theory related to transit-oriented development to be provided for referring in the work of urban redevelopment and transportation planning in Taiwan area. And try to explore the possibility of the station area urban redevelopment in the concept of T.O.D. in Taiwan area.
