碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 海洋科學系 / 89 / A 2-dimensionalnumerical model for calculating tidal currents and tides around Taiwan is developed. The tides on open boundaries are the driving forces for the tidal flow in the model. The harmonic constants on open boundaries are estimated from the tidal charts. In this study the tide on open boundaries is composed of partial tides M2,S2,K1,and O1. We take records of 14 tidal stations for verification of the model. The comparisons between the observed value and computed results are quite agreeable.
