The study of the functions of the agricultural informational community-An Instance of Taiwan Farmers & Fishmen United Information Center / 農業資訊社群網絡運作功能之研究-以「財團法人農漁會聯合資訊中心」為例

To successfully operate the agricultural informational community, the information center plays an important role. This study is to probe the roles and functions of the information center on the development of the agricultural informational community. Three kinds of B2B business models-Aggregator model, trading hubs model, and fully-automated exchange model-are used to analyze the roles and functions of the information enter on operation aspect, management aspect and strategy aspect. According to our efforts, we have such conclusions below:1. In the given goals of developing strategy, information center can provide the planning and management of the relative operative activities of organizations. By well using the functions of the information center, the information center can make contributions to the operations of the agricultural informational community and make the overall competition stronger.2. The information center has the duty to motion the innovation of agriculture, to improve the development of agricultural economy and to reach the goal of lasting operations. By the case study, the analysis suggests that the information center has five important goals in the agricultural innovation.3. According to the experiences in the automation of agriculture, the study provides some suggestions to manage new business models and to create new values in the new informational agricultural environment.
