The Impacts of Recreational Activities on the Special Geologic and Geomorphological Sites ─ a case study on the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area / 遊憩活動對特殊地質、地形景點衝擊之研究─以東北角海岸國家風景區為例

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 地理環境資源學研究所 / 89 / The purpose of this stud y is to assess the impacts of recreation on special geological/geomorphological sites that caused by recreational activities. Four sites, such as Pitou cape, Lungtung cape, Santiao cape and Waiao, within the National Northeastern Scenic Area were selected for assessment.
Checklist of landscapes for the four sites and evaluation of the recreational activities were applied to identify the degree of impact in this study. Presentational matrix method was also used for quantification assessment.
Most of the recreational activities within the four sites are skin diving, swimming, hiking, fishing and rock-climbing. The installations for recreational activities purposes, such as trails, tourist centers, parking area, posters, chairs, toilets, stairs and temporary parking area etc, may also caused different impacts. A checklist and evaluation table.
The results show that the impacts of recreational activities highly depend on the construction and management of the four sites. According to the impact of scientific interests, Pitou Cape suffered the highest impact because of construction of trails, arbecue and installation of power supply.
