碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 農業工程學研究所 / 89 / High concentration of solids and dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) in aquacultural ponds is lethal to fish. Treating recirculating culture water with bubble column device has been proven effective in solid and TKN removal. In this study, influence of air flow rate (Qa) and water flow rate (Qw) on solid and DIN removal efficiency in fresh water and seawater culture was examined. The ratio between air and water flow rate (Qa/Qw), which varied from 1.56 to 14.0, was selected as a main factor that affect performance of bubble column. The highest ammonia removal efficiency of bubble column was 38 % and 50 % in fresh water and seawater culture, respectively, but negative removal efficiency occurred in nitrite. Solid removal by bubble column was obviously influenced by solid concentration along with Qa/Qw and the highest efficiency was 70 % when concentration was low. Settling tank did not exactly remove DIN. Solid removal by settling tank was influenced by both particle size and HRT, and the highest solid removal efficiency was 30 % while treating small abalone culturing water (with larger particle size) under an HRT of 88 sec. Certain water should be treated under certain operation conditions.
