The Mass Flow Vertical Distribution and Seasonal Variation in Water and Sediment Column of Hard Clam (Meretrix lusoria) Culture Pond / 文蛤養殖池水層及底泥層中物質濃度之垂直分佈與季變異

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 農業工程學研究所 / 89 / A severe death of hard clam often occurs during seasonal climate changes every year. A 3-ha hard clam (Meretrix lusoria) culture pond in Tai-xi, Yun-lin county was picked for this study. In the pond, water temperature was 2-3℃ higher than the sediment. DO values were 20% lower in water at night, and were always below 0.5ppm in the sediment; ORP values were all positive daily and seasonally in water, but in winter, ORP values in the sediment negative. In addition, interface column Oxygen consumption rate in summer was 0.13μg/min/cm2, and was 0.17μg/min/cm2 in winter. Over 90% of Dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) was NH4+-N. During five months culture, NH4+-N ratio between summer and winter increased 53% and 90% day and night, respectively, and revealed an NH4+-N accumulation. Exceptly, the highest NH4+-N concentrations were detected at 20hr after feeding. All data collected were used to determine the spatial, daily and seasonal variations of these parameters.
