A study on the removing rate of Ammonium Nitrogen in wastewater of Aquaculture / 養殖廢水氨氮去除速率之探討

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 生物產業機電工程學研究所 / 89 / Abstract
The purposes of this study are twofolds, first to investigate on the difference of the growth rate of Nitrifying Bacteria between porous clay and Bacteria cultriyating ball, and the effect of the Biological agent. Second, to investigate on the absorbing efficiency of Zeolite for Ammonium.
The results show porous clay''s groups have better ability to remove Ammonium and Nitrite. Comparing to the Bacteria cultriyating ball''s groups, the cultivating time of Nitrosomonas sp. is 2 earlier in the porous clay''s groups is 2 days, and Nitrobacter sp. is 10 days faster, with or without Nitrifying Bacterua. While adding Biological agent, the times to remove Ammonium and Nitrite in porous clay''s groups are 2 days and 4 days earlier, respectively. In Bacteria cultriyating ball''s group, the removal of Ammonium and Nitrite are 2 days and 12 days faster respectively after adding Biological agent.
The results also show the removal of ammonium use Zeolite can reach to 75% of total removable amount in two hours. All concentrations of ammonium in wastewater adding Zeolite drop dramatically with first 60 minutes. The rate reduction of ammonium concentration becomes small after 120 minutes and reach a steady state after 300 minutes. Absorption model ware developed in this study to allow the calculation of time required to absorb certain amount of ammonium in a given concentration of waste water using certain amount of Zeolite. The model developed in this study can predict more accurate than modified Frenundich model, Parabolic diffusion and Elovich model.
