碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 獸醫學研究所 / 89 / The preproaerolysin of Aeromonas hydrophila isolated from ayu was cloned and expressed. The complete preproaerolysin gene was 1461 base pairs, which contained 487 amino acids, and the molecular weight was about 59kDa. The recombinant preproaerolysin retained its toxicity after activated with trypsin, and the property was deactivated by treating at 46℃ for 5 min. Hemolytic ability on blood agar and cytolytic ability on Vero cell was noted in vitro. It caused the death of mice and ileum edema with hemorrhage in the rabbit ileum loop test in vivo.
