In this study, the step slope dyke with different berm width and the submerged depth of the submerged breakwater were used to study the influence of wave runup on step slope dyke. From the regression analysis of the experiment data, we can see the runup height was decreased with berm width increased, and decreased with the submerged depth of the submerged breakwater increased. As to the calculation of the relative wave runup height, the computation model which proposed by Rouck (1998) was applied. That model was obtained by use the analysis on the experiment data on smooth dyke surface with several berms. A modification model to that estimation equation was completed by use the experiment data in this study. Meanwhile, the calculation for the (Kt) and the berm width influence factor (γb) were gotted from the calculate methods which proposed by Seabrook et al. (1998) and Waal et al. (1992) respectively. The comparison of the relative wave runup height which computed by use the modified new model to the experiment’s was coincide each other guite good.
