碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 造船及船舶機械工程學系 / 90 / The main purpose of the thesis is developing an experimental set-up for two ship models, i.e. Series 60 and Mariner, moving along side by side in longitudinal regular waves. The measurements include the exciting forces, ship motions, and nonlinear lateral drifting forces for two ship models. In this study, two experimental techniques, i.e. with six degrees of freedom and five degrees of freedom with surge mode restrained, are considered. All the measurements are compared with the theoretical results using the three-dimensional source distribution technique. The comparisons can be offered to interested readers as a valuable reference.
