碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 造船及船舶機械工程學系碩博士班 / 90 / In the paper we assumed that the ship operated in the still water and the ship moved in waves are independent each other. In the side of ship operation we used based on the mathematic models of ship operation defined by Japan’s MMG and employed the hydrodynamic coefficients and related data which we obtained by experimental estimation, the effects of current, wind forces and deep water also included. The data bass of ship motion were constructed from the ship motion based on the theory of strips adopted the source distribution method in waves. The ship operate systems were carried out and presented by virtual reality system.
The systems were carried out by two sets of soft package, one is WorldToolKit(WTK), and another one is OmegaSpace. We used 3D StudioMak to constructed whole environment of virtual world. For sake of perfect we adopted the 3D solid eyeglasses, digital projector, CRT projector and 120 feet screen to enhance the effect of whole systems.
The prime cost of the whole systems we completed is very low and it will be a very practical tool to training a crewmember to become a good navigator in waves. The systems we developed also take a step forward in the field of virtual environments of ship maneuverability.
