碩士 / 國立交通大學 / 運輸科技與管理學系 / 90 / In recent years, the government wants to improve the traffic congestion by promoting intelligent transportation system (ITS). Most of the ITS application have some components involving the data transmission between vehicles and control centers. Thus the ultimate selection of communication system will affect the performance of ITS network.
The purpose of this research is to evaluate suitable communication networks for ITS applications, based on a through study of the characteristics of data transmission process. The analysis of ITS communication demand is first proposed, and then a simulation structure is established through estimating the parameters of vehicle behaviors and wireless communication network. Finally, a computer software for evaluating the communication networks suitable to ITS applications is developed.
