Studies on the super-intensive recirculation system for culturing the whiteleg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei Boone, and the effects of its molting cycle and size on hemolymph variables / 白蝦高密度循環水養殖及其脫殼週期與大小對血淋巴因子變動之研究

碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 熱帶農業研究所 / 90 / The first part of this study is to use recirculation technology to reduce water requirements less discharge from the culture system, minimize environmental impacts, and offer a high degree of biosecurity. Culture tanks A, B, C were stocked at 396.8 pcs/m2 and harvested after 189 days, with an average weight 4 ponds 10.4, 10.3, 9.5g. Ponds D and E were stocked at the density as above and harvested after 189, 264 days. With average weight of 10.2 and 15.1g, respectively. Unit production was 1.98~2.12kg/m2 of these trials cultured Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp in tanks A, B, C, D. The days of stocked are 190. When period in rearing time pass seasons cool. Its temperature low to 20℃ from mid-october to next year march . Water temperature less than 24℃ will or halt feeding in whiteleg shrimp(Litopenaeus vannamei). But them are good survival at up to 70%.
The second part of this study is the whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) was examined for hemolymph oxyhemocyanin, protein, osmotic and ion concentration in relation to sex, size and molt stage. No significant differences in hemolymph variables were observed between male and female shrimps with body weight in the range of 4.7-32.6 g. Among the molt cycles, hemolymph protein and oxyhemocyanin levels were highest (132.56±2.79 mg/ml and 1.70±0.04 mmol/l) at stage D0/D1, and lowest (87.54±2.28 mg/ml and 1.08±0.05 mmol/l) stage A, respectively. In addition, Hemolymph osmolarity and chride concentration were the highest (798±6.3 mOsm/kg and 276.8±2.2 mmol/l) at stage D0/D1, and lowest (760.7±2.3 mOsm/kg and 241.5±3.8 mmol/l at stage A. The increase of hemolymph protein, oxyhemocyanin, osmolality, Na+, Cl-, K+ Mg2+, and Ca2+ levels with the increase shrimp size indicating that the shrimp mature in the culture ponds. The fact that the hemolymph protein, osmolality, Na+, K+ and Cl-, levels were lower during the postmolt and higher during intermolt and early premolt are considered to be associated with water uptake at molt stage.
