碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 90 / In this study, the tidal characteristics around Taiwan north-east coast had discussed. The one year water elevation records observed in Au-De and Ma-Gang fishery ports are harmonic analyzed, and the data from Keelung and Su-Ao Ports are also collected and compared. Before the discussion and comparison, the data supplement scheme is tested, and found that the record length and the observation period might cause the variance of each constituents’ amplitude. Iteration should be done during harmonic analysis when processing the data supplement. Record length will also affect the number of iteration. During the discussion, it also found that due to the tidal station is always allocated in a calm water area, in a tidal well or inside a port, and is different from the result of harmonic analysis and tidal prediction which is simulating the tidal change related to open sea at same location. That is, a phase lag exists between the predicted tidal elevation and observed tidal elevation, and causes these two tidal elevations cannot compare directly. A higher sampling rate is needed.
