Abstract
As Taiwan is surrounded by waters, all the raw-chemical and its product that required and/or processed by the industry highlights the importance of chemical tanker in her operation and transportation. Other than the special designed liquid chemical tanker, there is no proper ship that may apply to the safe sea transportation due to the very character of dangerous and corrosiveness in its of. For the sake of transportation safety, the ship were designed for cargo fitness in her structure and various purposes in operation are available within the required period, such as double hull, special coating and piping systems, not only for leakage prevention but also for international regulation comply with.
The purpose of the research is to confer the operation of chemical Tanker and in order to conform with international regulation. Moreover, this research studies about liquid chemical tanker’s history, ship’s design and structure, pollution prevention, liquid chemical cargos loading and unloading operations.
