碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 河海工程學系碩士在職專班 / 90 / In this study, the field wave data from 1996 to 2000 of Taipei harbor was analyzed and compared with the design waves used in the planning and design stages.
From the results discussed in this paper, Weibull distribution has best approach to the wave height distributions at Taipei harbor, Keelung harbor and Pii-Tou-Giao wave stations. The peak wave period of both long term and short term joint distribution are all around 0.4 to 0.6 sec, and the wave height is at around 0.6m. The characteristic wave height and period ratio are all fit in the range suggested by Goda(1974) and Kuo(1992). The record also show that the climate at Taipei harbor are suitable for construction all year long. However, the measured maximum wave height is larger than the estimated 50 years return period wave height that should be noticed and revised.
