碩士 / 國立臺灣科技大學 / 化學工程系 / 90 / The major objective of this study was to investigate the pretreatment of fishery market wastewater. Experiments were conducted on the wastewater of Taipei wholesale fishery market to assess the efficiency of various pretreatment units. The performance of existing wastewater treatment plant was evaluated as well.
In the study, the optimal coagulation-flocculation conditions were assessed through jar test. Experimental results indicated that removal efficiency of suspended solids increased with increasing coagulant dosage. However, the removal efficiency of COD did not.
The efficiency of dissolved air flotation was not as effective as by coagulation-flocculation sedimentation. Possible causes of the poor performance were discussed.
Effects of operation pressure, crossflow velocity and membrane type were investigated in microfiltration experiment. Experimental results indicated that filtrate quality was good and consistent. Mechanisms of flux decline in crossflow microfiltration were modeled, and compared with experimental data.
Advantages and disadvantages of coaulation-flocculation and microfiltration were explored.
