Choice Distribution Center-A Case
of Amigo Logistics

ABSTRACT
In recently years, following the economic development in Taiwan, the industrial competition turning white-hot. The industrial establish the distribution centers to lower the transfer cost and the cost of management and storage, for the purpose of lower costs and heighten benefit. The distribution centers hold several functions, so it became the mainstream of the business logistics. Considering the transportation cost, match with simplifying the tier, the fleet size and the vehicle routing problem, all of them must re-gard the location choice of distribution centers as the main evaluating foundation. Thus, the location decision of distribution centers got important status, for the competition of the future business logistics. The thesis got four main purposes : 1. Holding the situation of distribution centers now, and the future developing trend. 2. To probe into the space distributing pattern of distribution centers in Taiwan. 3. Probing into the critical factors of the distribution centers location decision, and it''s relative important degree. 4. To simulate the practical location decision of the distribution centers with GIS, chose the fitting location for distribution centers, to gave some suggestions for the logistics in lo-cation decision.
1. The development of the logistics in Taiwan, have to invest lots of cash, land and technology. It has the division of labor between business distribution and physical dis-tribution, specialization and diversification, enhancing the night assignment, the indus-trial group establish distribution centers self and step into the global competition trend. Besides, mention to their distributing location, the distribution centers got suburbiza-tion.
