The Research for Seismic Strategy and Design of Sewage Pipelines / 污水下水道管線耐震對策與耐震設計之研究

碩士 / 國立臺北科技大學 / 土木與防災技術研究所 / 90 / Taiwan is located at the area with highly frequency of earthquake happening. Those earthquakes always cause damages of properties and losses of lives to the people. The lifeline utilities such as roads, bridges, communications, water supply, gas, power and sewage system which might be seriously destroyed by earthquakes. Those will increase more difficulties and complexity during the periods of rescuing, reconstructing and repairing. Therefore, civil construction design should completely consider the force of earthquake to assure sufficient seismic resistance in this special area.
The mainly objects of sewage system are to improve the hygienic conditions of domestic area, to increase the quality of living environment, to prevent water pollution from water region and to assure excellent water quality in source water protection area. However, Wastewater treatment is one of the criteria of the World Competitiveness Yearbook published by International Institute for Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland. The Executive Yuan also recognized it as one of the important index to the Living Quality Division in the project of increasing competence of the country.
This research focus at these issues including the function, characteristic, building and development of sewage pipeline system, earthquake happening and damaging, the method of constructing sewage pipeline, the investigation of damages caused by earthquake, the inspection and measurement technique, the reinforcement and repair techniques of pipeline, the seismic strategy and design for construction.
The seismic and preventive strategies of sewage pipeline include adopting a construction with high flexibility, deflectivity and replaceability, soil amelioration, multiple pipeline and netted pipeline. The repair methods include all kinds of trenchless pipe repair technique. By the way, the response displacement method is recommended as one of the seismic design. As a fact, Taiwan is still lack of any seismic strategy and design for the sewage pipeline system. This research will be a useful reference of pipeline designing, disaster preventing and life rescue.
