碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 環境工程與科學所 / 91 / This study presents hydrodynamic and pollutant transport simulations for coastal waters using a Java-based distributed problem solving environment (JD-PSE), named the Web-based Distributed Computing and Collaborative Design (WeDCCD) system. The WeDCCD system incorporates a Fortran 77-based simulation code, ADIQT model, using the techniques of Java Native Interface (JNI) and Inter-Process Communication (IPC). Besides, the Java-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the scientific visualization module in the original WeDCCD system were modified in the study.
The modified WeDCCD system provides an environment for excuting the ADIQT model, analyzing computed data as well as displaying the model results graphically and dynamically. Besides, the Wed-based System connects distant people to explore and discuss model results and to provide supports for decision making at different levels of environmental management. In the finial, the excuting efficiency of the system is further discussed.
