碩士 / 義守大學 / 管理科學研究所 / 91 / This study exercises the concept of IMD (International institute for management development) evaluating the competitiveness of nations, analyzes the financial competitiveness of Taipei and Shanghai by using hard data and survey data. Besides, discussing about the differences of Finance, Laws, and Taxes between Taiwan and Mainland China.
This study concludes with the following findings:
1.Measuring the financial competitiveness by using hard data in level form, Taipei was better than Shanghai; however, in difference form, Shanghai had quicker upward trend than Taipei, in this case, Shanghai has more possibility to be an international financial center. Moreover, when using survey data, Taipei almost ahead of Shanghai for all criteria. Therefore, we can conclude that Taipei has higher financial competitiveness than Shanghai in the sense of CEO.
2.Compare with Taiwan, Mainland China faces more serious problems in Banking, Security, and Insurance Markets.
3.Mainland China takes pick-the-winner strategy in order to gather foreign investments at a time, requests terms strictly in QFII (Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors) qualification.
