THE STUDY OF THE FACTORS ON OVERSEAS INVESTMENT FOR TAIWAN FASTENER FIRMS / 台灣區扣件業者海外投資因素之研究

碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 企業管理學系(EMBA)專班 / 91 / In order to understand the reasons that Taiwan Fastener Firms have preceded overseas investments and those are considering investing, this research is based on Taiwan Fastener Firms as the research population that includes manufacturers, trading companies, domestic distributors and related companies in the industry to confer the reasons that Taiwan Fastener Firms are engaged in overseas investments by using analysis of variance, analysis of factor, analysis of cluster and Logistic Regression as the statistic methods.

1. The original reasons for those who already preceded overseas investments mainly are globalizations, seeking cost effective produced locations and market developments in local area.

2. Seeking cost effective produced locations, potential developments of invested markets and globalization are the main reasons for those who are considering or will precede overseas investments.

3. There are very high consistencies between those who have already invested and those who are considering investing in overseas: extension of Taiwan parent company, keeping operation headquarter in Taiwan, emphases of local market development, the problems of training local managers, customs, tax issues and 100% holding.

4. Those who have already invested and those who are considering investing in overseas all believe the main invested area will be in Asia, and mainly in China.

5. There are big discrepancies between those who have already invested and those who are considering investing in overseas for assuring investment; especially the political factor is the main reason for those who are considering investing overseas.

6. The investment amount, average sales amount of recent 3 years, international trading boundaries, worse invest environment of Taiwan domestic, the grouping relationship in the fastener industry, accumulating experiences from small scale investment, customs, tax issues, culture discrepancies and investment enthusiasm are the important factors for decision making of overseas investment.
