An Exploratory Discussion on The Implementation of Knowledge Management in Keelung Harbor Bureau / 基隆港務局推動「知識管理」之初探

碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 91 / This study is doing an exploratory discussion on the implementation of Knowledge Management by adopting a case study of the Keelung Harbor Bureau, we found that the implementation of Knowledge Management could promote the competitiveness of Keelung Port.
For the Port of Keelung, the positive contribution of knowledge Management is as follows : for the provision of ship arrival and departure management service, ISO 9001 was implemented in the vessel in and out operations; ISO 9002 was implemented in the container yard operation. Intranet system was already constructed in the Port of Keelung to promote the application of information technology. By contrast, the member’s willingness to share knowledge was handicapped by the bureaucratic culture of Port of Keelung. Besides, short of training and objection of change are the main obstacles of “Knowledge Management“.
Base on our study, some suggestions about Knowledge Management for Keelung Harbor Bureau are proposed.
