Experiments on hydrodynamics of a full-scaled submerged body in NTOU large cavitation tunnel / 全尺寸潛體於海洋大學大型空蝕水槽之水動力試驗

碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 系統工程暨造船學系 / 91 / This thesis is aim at measuring the hydrodynamic characteristics of a submerged body in large cavitation tunnel. The work of this thesis includes two parts. The first part is to calibrate the measuring system including the contra-rotating dynamometer & six-conponent balancer. The second part is to measure the full-scaled hydrodynamic characteristics of the submerged body.
Because the flow speed in large cavitation tunnel is up to 12m/s during the resistance test. And, the speed for the self propulsion and the propeller cavitation test is 8.5 m/s. The Reynolds number is very close to that of the field condition. From the measuring results, it is shown that the form factor of the submerged body is indeed decreased with the increase of the Reynolds number, and the propeller cavitation inception is in good agreement with that at field test.
