碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 應用經濟研究所 / 91 / Due to the coming HACCP certification system for fishery products, the pattern of consumer demand should be different. Using Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), this study conducted a telephone survey of willingness-to-pay by consumers for the HACCP certification system. The targeted fishery products were grouper, milkfish, and oyster. The results, in the case of being given certain price to buy HACCP certified fishery products, is the lower the extra price to pay, the more people to accept HACCP certification system and, on the contrary, the higher the extra price to pay, the lesser people to accept the system. In addition, 90.6% of sample consumers are willing to buy HACCP certified fishery products and the most important factor affecting the purchase of fisheries products is degree of freshness, accounted for 94.8%. The median is used for estimation of WTP value. HACCP value is calculated by subtracting fisheries products value from WTP price. The results of HACCP value are 51.28 NTD for grouper, 23 NTD for milkfish, and 33.27 NTD for oyster and the corresponding percentages compared to average WTP price are 36.63%, 38.33%, and 41.59%. For the year of 2002, the total values of HACCP are 102.834 billions NTD, 1.12 billions NTD for grouper, 2.466 billions NTD for milkfish, and 1.251 billions NTD for oyster. LSD test was used to detect significant estimation on WTP values differences among consumed groups. The most significant criterion for consumer segmentation is “How many days to eat a fish?” for grouper, “Whether to buy this fishery product frequently?” for milkfish, and “Sex consideration.” for oyster.
