Development of a Web-Based Simulation System of Transporting and Roll on/Roll off Heavy Mechanical Equipments by Barge / 網路環境下駁船重型機件吊運模擬系統之開發

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 工程科學與海洋工程學系 / 91 / The purpose of this research is to develop a program system for simulation of transporting and loading/unloading heavy mechanical equipments by barge, namely, is to set up a JSP server (website) by using Tomcat and establish the Web-Based Simulation System for the users to proceed the calculations by Internet. The system is designed for the Sea & Land Integrated Corporation. Because the equipments in the haulage service of this company can weigh several hundred tons or even more than one thousand tons, it is absolutely reasonable to make careful planning, necessary calculations and cautious evaluations beforehand, in order to ensure smoothness and safety during the operation period in transportation of the heavy equipments at sea and roll-on/roll-off in shore. The whole program system should include three subsystems: one simulation system for loading and unloading procedure of heavy equipments and two computation systems for preparing hydrostatic curves and stability performance of the barge. Thus, the whole program system should be provided with the following functions: calculations of hydrostatic curves and stability criteria to meet the regulation requirements, feasibility study for heavy haulage in shore and the ballast planning during roll-on/roll-off of the heavy haulages. By making use of this program system, the Sea & Land Integrated Corporation can quickly and precisely determine the maximum haulage capability of the barge, which is an important data for undertaking the haulage services. The program is also useful for evaluating the feasibility of unloading cargo in the way by pulling barge in shore instead of sitting the barge on a sandy beach. The former is more advantageous in terms of time and money. With the help of this program system, a ballast planning can also be schemed appropriately, so that the barge can remain in well equilibrium floating condition during the time of loading and unloading.
