Study on the strength of pressure hull for miniature submarine / 小型潛艇壓力殼耐壓強度之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 工程科學與海洋工程學系 / 91 / The pressure hull is an important element of submarine structure which can withstand the external pressure, the pressure hull is composed of cylinder and dime for the most part, and needs to weld stiffeners on the cylinder within a moderate space. Using FEM(finite element method)to evaluate the strength of pressure hull, the FEM model of outer coverings and stiffeners can use shell element to establish, but it may waste much computing time to calculate. Therefore, in this paper, we can evaluate more easier by making use of the idea of effective-width and considering the stiffener/plating combined moment of inertia.
A study of strength of submarine pressure hull in this paper, the main purposes are discussing material yielding and general instability. Stress concentrating is often occured at opening of pressure hull, so we must use coaming or pressure hull pad to reinforce. As to buckling, if we want to understand the real behavior of submarine pressure hull, either evaluating the eigen value, or discussing the non-linear buckling and plasticity further.
