In the past ten years, the M&A activities of global increased rapidly, and reached the peak in Year 2000. The mergers and acquisitions have become normal in economical activities. However, for the non-life insurance, the union M&A China Marine is the first case in Taiwan.
Therefore, the method of case study is applied in the research; this thesis is based on exploratory study and is made up of several parts such as reference discuss, research design and individual case analysis. This thesis records the process of M&A of non-life insurance completely and discuss 「how」and 「why」about M&A of non-life insurance. Finally, generalize about the process and character of M&A of non-life insurance in Taiwan.
The conclusion of this research is divided into three aspects, including「Promote factor」,「strategy planning」 and 「integration management」.This thesis proposes ten propositions about merger and acquisition of non-life insurance in Taiwan.
