碩士 / 國防大學中正理工學院 / 造船工程研究所 / 92 / In the sea war, facing the threat of anti-surface missile is often happened, and how to reduce its tracking and attack effectively is an important technology from the consideration of national defense at sea. In this kind of technology, the major part is radar and infrared suppression, because it is the key feature of anti-surface missile. If the probability of detection can be reduced, it will be helpful for the survivability of a naval ship.
According to the current study, the Striker designed by Rene’s Loire has a water screen system, which can supply the stealth to magnetic and thermal effects. It also has practical use in the protection of anti-surface missile. The arsenal ship of U. S. Navy may have similar performance as the Striker.
The pioneer modular design of water screen system is proposed in this thesis, and the preliminary experimental investigation and analysis are fulfilled. The parameters include supplied water pressure, the inclination angle of water guiding plate, and the diameter of open hole. The effect of infrared reduction is discussed through different conditions. The above results are useful to provide the capability of the naval ship protection in the design stage.
