Development of Agent-Based Architecture Techniques for integrating Picking and Shipping Operations / 建立代理人機制整合揀貨與出貨作業

碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 工業工程學所 / 92 / ABSTRACT
The thesis is mainly using Agent Technology to combine two systems - order picking operation and shipping operation. Previously the two systems develop independently to get separated optimum solutions. In this thesis we will combine thus two systems to obtain one optimum solution, according to the solution, we find order sequencing, then assign labors to pick operation. Moreover, in practice the picking operation concerns different equipment. Different equipments are controlled by different operating systems. Concerning picking operation matches to different equipments and communicates with shipping operation, we develop a set of Agent System which can be operated on IBM Aglet platform.
In this study, the purpose is to use a Role method to develop an application program. The advantage of this concept is to assist agents to understand inner-program and program interaction relationships. Moreover, this study utilize the character of agent’s mobility (move to assigned position to execute responsibility), autonomy (response answer automatically when receive information), cooperation (when conflict occur between order sequence and transportation operation, assistant agents take cooperation behavior), reactivity (supervisory agent supervise picking environment then make correct labors), and so that they can promote order picking efficiency. Finally this study offers an agent framework that can combine order picking with shipping problems. We expect this study could have a substantial contribution to picking operation of distribution centers.
