Management Strategy, R&D Practice and Its Performance for the Subsidiaries of Multinational Corporations-An empirical research for the affiliates of Taiwanese firms in mainland China / 國際企業子公司經營策略、海外研發活動與研發績效之研究-台商大陸子公司實證探討

碩士 / 義守大學 / 管理科學研究所 / 92 / The major purpose of this study is probing into the relationship and influence between management strategy, overseas R&D practice and its performance for the subsidiaries of multinational corporations. After reviews the correlated literature and develops questionnaires and propositions, researcher tries to build a study model of the management strategy have an effect upon the R&D performance for the subsidiaries of multinational corporations, and its overseas R&D practice is the intervening variable. The parent population of this study is the affiliates of Taiwanese firms in mainland China. Through the statistic and analysis of diversity, correlation, and regression by 166 valid samples, the study discovered some findings. First, management strategy has obvious and positive effects on the overseas R&D practice. Second, management strategy and overseas R&D practice have obvious and positive effects on the R&D performance. Besides, overseas R&D practice is an important intervening variable between management strategy and R&D performance. Finally this study proposes Taiwanese firms to be inclined to the actively strategy and enhance the diversification of overseas R&D practice for the subsidiaries in mainland China.
